Ministers & Elders

Leader: Elder Douglas McArthur

Board of Elders
Members of the board of elders shall be members of this church in good standing and have answered their call by God to the preaching ministry. Persons having answered their call by God to preach the gospel shall have undergone ministerial training and obtained an elevation in ministry from minister to elder. Granted by the senior pastor, board of elders, and board of deacons; this is a lifelong ministry which has no time period on it unless otherwise elevated. They have proved their calling as elders. The elders consistent behavior must not show that he/she is practicing those things listed in this scripture: Romans 1:26,27 – “26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.” Any elder guilty of practicing any of the acts listed in I Corinthians 6:9-10} Acts 6:3-7 and Malachi 3:8-10 will be brought before the board of elders and senior pastor.

Elders in this ministry must support the bishop, pastors and other officers of the church dealing with church discipline and orders, preaching of the gospel, teaching the word of God, conducting the pulpit, alter work, communion assistance, baptism assistance and any other area of ministry they can assist in.

Board of Ministers
Members of the board of ministers shall be members of this church in good standing and shall have answered their calling by God to the preaching ministry. Persons having answered their calling by God to preach the gospel, shall preach a trial sermon to the church body, after which they shall be granted a license to preach by the senior pastor, board of elders, and board of deacons not to exceed three (3) years. Licensed ministers shall, after proving their calling, be ordained as ministers of the gospel at a meeting of the church body. The minister’s consistent behavior must not show that he/she is practicing those things listed in this scripture: Romans 1:26,27 – “26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.” Any minister guilty of practicing any of the acts listed in I Corinthians 6:9-10} Acts 6:3-7 and Malachi 3:8-10 will be brought before the board of elders.

Deacon Board

Leader: Deacon James Armstead

Deacon Board
Members of the board of deacons shall be members of this church in good standing and shall be appointed by the senior pastor, being led by the Holy Spirit and commissioned by the governing board. The board of deacons shall be governed according to I Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 13:9 – “For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” (KJV) and Malachi 3:8-10. Any deacon who is practicing those things listed in these scriptures shall be brought before the Board
of elders.

The deacons shall be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the churches properties. The deacons are responsible for handling any difficulties or trouble that may arise with the men and young men of the church establishing order and discipline. They also assist with communion and baptism. The deacons are to make sure that our sick and shut in members are visited and given communion. The deacons should also assist with new members making sure their needs are taken care of both spiritually and physically according to command.

Deaconess
Members of the board of deaconess shall be members of this church in good standing and shall be married to a deacon unless appointed by the senior pastor, being led by the Holy Spirit and commissioned by the governing board. Youth Department

Leader: Brother Armand Carr

Our Purpose
The purpose of the P.O.W.E.R. Movement is to exalt children and youth to glorify God through:

  1. Praise God freely and openly. (Worship)
  2. Organize activities in a positive Christian environment (Fellowship)
  3. Working to help those in need (Ministry)
  4. Elevating the Kingdom of God through bible study (Discipleship)
  5. Reaching out to other youth in the community (Evangelism)

Our Vision
It is our vision that the youth of Landmark International Deliverance & Worship Center can find the love and support they need. Where they are accepted for who they are; and are given hope for a brighter future in God’s hands.

We envision a ministry where forgiveness is formed through Jesus Christ.

We envision a place where Jesus Christ is revealed to youth, and they will respond to becoming a disciple. To love, learn, laugh and experience life in harmony, as well as reaching out to others with the love of God





Music Department


Leader: Brother William Brown

Musicians
To become a musician in this ministry one must see the Minister of Music; and one must have musical ability on the instrument of choice.

Praise Team
To become a member of the Choir you must see Minister of Music and final approval will be given by the Sr. Pastor. To remain in the Choir you must attend bible classes and have completed New Members class.





Audio/Video Department


Leader: Sister Nicole Walker

To become a member of the audio/video department see ministry head of audio/video department. This duty requires strict attention to everything going on in the sanctuary. You must be faithful to this duty. Knowledge of the sound system as well as video equipment is a plus however it is not necessary, training is available.
